HOUSTON PERMIT EXPEDITING
Houston's Trusted Permit Expediter for Residential & Commercial Construction
Stop chasing the City of Houston Permit Center. We've spent the last decade pulling permits across Houston, Harris County, and 15+ surrounding jurisdictions — so your build stays on schedule and on budget.
THE SERVICE
What a Houston Permit Expediter Actually Does
A permit expediter is the person who stands between your construction project and the bureaucracy that can stall it for weeks. We prepare your application, walk it through the City of Houston's online permitting platforms — ProjectDox, iPermits, and Harris County ePermits — answer reviewer comments, resolve plan-review red flags, and deliver your issued permit ready to post on the jobsite.
For most projects in the Houston market, that means the difference between a 6-to-12-week wait and an issued permit you can build under in days. We are not affiliated with the City of Houston Permitting Center or Harris County — HPC is a private firm hired by owners, contractors, and developers to handle the permit process end-to-end so they can focus on construction.
If you've ever been told "your plans are on hold pending corrections" and didn't know what that meant, that's exactly the kind of work we do. We translate reviewer comments into action items, hand the action items to the right consultant on your team, and put the corrected submittal back in the queue the same day.
WHO WE SERVE
Built for Contractors, Developers, and Owners Who Don't Have Time to Wait
General Contractors
You bid the job, you win the job, then you need a permit yesterday. We submit, track, and chase corrections so your crew isn't sitting idle while plans sit in review.
Commercial Developers
From tenant fit-outs to ground-up retail, we coordinate plan review, fire marshal sign-offs, Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) accessibility reviews on projects over $50K, and certificate of occupancy issuance.
Homeowners & Investors
Bathroom remodel, garage conversion, second-story addition, ADU — we handle the entire permit application so you can stay focused on the renovation, not the city.

Do you need a permit to remodel a bathroom in Houston?
In most cases, yes — but it depends on the scope. The City of Houston requires a building permit for any work that involves: changing the bathroom's footprint or moving walls, replacing or moving plumbing fixtures (tub, shower, toilet, sink), running new electrical circuits or moving outlets, installing new mechanical ventilation, or replacing the tub/shower if waterproofing is disturbed.
Cosmetic-only work — repainting, replacing the vanity in the same footprint, swapping a faucet, installing new flooring over the existing subfloor, replacing a toilet with the same model — generally does not require a permit. The line gets blurry when small jobs touch plumbing or electrical, so when in doubt, pull a permit. The cost of permitting a bathroom remodel is small compared to the cost of having an inspector or appraiser flag unpermitted work later — which can affect your home insurance, resale value, and trigger a red tag.
We pull bathroom remodel permits regularly and can usually have the application in within 1–2 business days of receiving plans.
